Tip of the Month

Get Fleeced.
Don't let winter dampen your paddling spirit with a little rain or snow, after all it is a water sport. However, it is more important than ever to dress for cold immersion. Along with wearing wicking and protective layers bring along spare fleece. A $2 thrift store polyester shirt might save a life. Get an XL size as it will fit over anyone. Pack it into your kayak and bring it along. How many times have you come across someone who did not plan to get wet? How many times was that person yourself?
